Apple IPhone 7 Vs. Google Pixel: Comparison Review Of Specs, Features And More

Google, at its October 4 event, announced a bunch of ‘Made by Google’ products – including the Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL smartphones, the Pixelbook laptop and Pixel Buds. The company also launched Google Assistant-powered Home Mini and Home Max speakers, and an AI-powered Portable camera called Clips. Successor to last year’s Pixel, the Pixel 2 brings nifty improvements in the form of design and upgraded hardware. It will compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Apple iPhone 8. Here’s how the three smartphones compare on the basis of their price, specifications and features.

Price and availability

The second-gen Pixel 2 will be offered in 64GB and 128GB storage variants, priced at Rs 61,000 and Rs 70,000 respectively. Samsung’s Galaxy S8 is priced at Rs 53,800, whereas the iPhone 8 is offered in two storage variants – 64GB variant priced at Rs 64,000, and 256GB variant priced at Rs 77,000.

The Pixel 2 comes a 5-inch full HD display, whereas the iPhone 8 comes with a 4.7-inch HD display. Samsung’s Galaxy S8, on the other hand, features a 5.8-inch dual edge curved QHD display running at a resolution of 1440×2960 pixels, and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. Clearly, Samsung has an edge here with a display that is not only larger and better, but also packed in a compact body.

For the iPhone 8, Apple has gone with its A11 Bionic hexa-core SoC paired with 64GB/256GB storage. iFixit’s recent teardown revealed that the iPhone 8 sports 2GB of RAM, but as usual, Apple hasn’t officially announced it.
