Cops Seek Man Who Drove Away From Scene Of Bronx Father's Fatal Shooting

Cops released a photo Saturday of a man wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a Bronx father.

Police are looking for 25-year-old Elijah Smith, who was last seen driving away from scene after Duro Akil was killed in Williamsbridge Monday night.

Akil took a bullet to the torso when a man fired a shot through his building’s front door on E. 219th St. around 10:20 p.m., according to cops.

He was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center and died on Wednesday, officials said.

His father Okera Ras I, 54, died of a heart attack the same day, devastated family members told the Daily News.

Cops said that Smith was last seen in a grey four door sedan with Connecticut plates.

Police have offered a $2,500 award for any information leading to an arrest or indictment in Akil's death.
