The game stars Professor Layton's daughter, Katrielle Layton, who's on a quest to find her missing father. For an early glimpse at the next entry in Level-5's popular puzzle series, check out the trailer below:
Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy will be released for mobile devices on July 20, which will be followed by a 3DS version this fall year. As reported by Gematsu, the mobile version will be priced at $16 USD. Android users can now pre-register for the game on Google Play.
While prior entries in the series have been centered around solving a single, large puzzle, Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy will feature an overarching plot that contains several smaller mysteries to solve.
Earlier this year, Level-5 announced the pricing for Japan, with the mobile version, which will have in-app purchases, priced at 1,900 yen (just over $17 USD), and the the 3DS version priced at 4,800 yen (approximately $44 USD). The official price for the 3DS version in the west has yet to be announced.
