As Microsoft's abandonment of Windows phone continued apace this year, the company moved to release more of its core apps on Android, and that included its Edge browser. It's been pretty successful, with more than one million installs, probably due to the "continuous browsing experience" it offers Windows 10 users. Now, there's even more good news for fans of the app.
Popular password manager LastPass already supports Chrome on Android and Safari on iOS, and it's also been testing out compatibility with Oreo's Autofill API. It's just been updated to include support for Edge too. Program Manager Sean Lyndersay took to Twitter to announce the news a few days ago, also stating that support for Edge on iOS would be coming in the next major update.
For all you @LastPass lovers, the team at LastPass updated their app to support Microsoft Edge for Android, so please check it out. They've also been great with helping us get Edge for iOS working with LastPass, coming in our next update. Huge thanks to the LastPass team!

This is great for users of both apps, and it will make logging into online accounts on Edge a much smoother experience for anyone who uses LastPass already. It's also good to see that Edge is getting support from developers of other high-profile apps, which hopefully stands it in good stead for the future. You can try out both apps by downloading them from the Play Store links below. Alternatively, both are available on APKMirror if you'd rather sideload (Edge, LastPass).> Download QR-Code Microsoft Edge Developer: Microsoft Corporation Price: Free > Download QR-Code LastPass Password Manager Developer: LogMeIn, Inc.
