NFL's International Brand Grows With Foreign Born NFL Draft Prospects


The NFL continues to brand itself globally, and its influence is clearly working.

The proof is in the numbers. Last year’s NFL Draft saw a record 12 foreign-born players selected. This year's NFL Draft could see the first player from a foreign league get drafted, something the NBA and NHL have been doing for years.

There are more than a dozen players born outside of the United States who should wind up on a training camp roster following this weekend’s three-day draft. That group includes a handful of Australian kickers — including the 2014 Lou Groza Award winner, Maryland's Brad Craddock.

Most of the players born on foreign soil played college football in the United States. One got his college experience in Canada, and there's another who never played college football. Here are 12 of the most intriguing foreign-born prospects.
