On Tuesday morning (Sept. 12), the R&B crooner took to Twitter to share his daily dose of motivation in 140 characters or less ― or what he assumed would inspire his over 800K followers. "All it takes is one 'yes' to change your life," Kelly tweeted along with an illustration that displayed a series of the word "no."
The tweet, pegged with the hashtag #MorningsWithKellz, was swiftly met with backlash from the internet. While the allegations against the "12 Play" singer are still being investigated, the disturbing details are hard to ignore. According to a jarring report by Buzzfeed, Kelly is being accused of housing young women against their will as well as controlling all aspects of their lives — from what they eat and how they dress to how he engages with them sexually.
K. Michelle opened up about her long-rumored relationship with her former "mentor" in an interview with Billboard. During the sit down, the "Can't Raise a Man" singer revealed that she is "not surprised" by the allegations against R. Kelly. "I’m actually going to be speaking more about it because I do feel like it’s my obligation as a woman to tell the truth," she continued. "And to do right by other females that are in the business and all these young women who don’t have a voice.”
